Dec. 3rd in review
This was our third week of Wednesday LIVE. Word must be spreading because we had more visitors today than weeks 1 and 2 combined. We still have lots of room to spare. If you’re waiting for an invitation, here it is… You’re Invited!
Our tutors were under-worked this week. Fewer students sought help than in past weeks. Everyone’s grades must be improving! Remember, tutoring is offered free-of-charge from our youth group to all students in grades 6-12. Just send us a note to reserve your spot next week.
We added Dance Dance Revolution this week. (Note to adult volunteers: make sure you sign a medical release before attempting this game.)
Many thanks to Ms. Georgina and the kitchen crew for providing the snacks again this week. The popcorn and corndogs were delectable, and the lemonade and yogurt were invigorating.
Those who stayed for worship in the JAM room heard our youth pastor Brian Johnson start a new series on the book of John. Tonight’s sermon addressed the question “Who is Jesus?” Brian challenged the students to commit to reading God’s word daily.
We discussed the roles of small group leaders and youth Bible study leaders. About a dozen youth volunteered to fill these roles. Starting next week, we’ll be assigning all guests to a small group.
