Wednesday LIVE returning September 2nd!
Wednesday LIVE is returning September 2nd! Same place and time as last year, but with new faces and new activities. Since we last met, we’ve been joined by Ty Greene and his wife Liz. Ty is our new youth pastor, and he’s excited to be working with the youth in Lee County. Ty will be leading many of our devotions during Wednesday LIVE as well as teaching the youth during the 6:15-7:30 worship time (called Transformed.)
We’re making a few changes from last year, including more focus on academics. We’re moving the tutoring rooms and study halls to the classrooms upstairs so there won’t be any noise or distractions. We’re also adding more structure to the games and activities. Ariel Hudson, one of our FBCL youth, has stepped up and will be planning our activities. If you have an idea for a game, activity, etc., see Ariel.
One thing that won’t change is our focus on Christ-like service. If you’re a Lee County youth in grades 6-12, we want you to join us. We’ll pick you up from school, give you a peer tutor (if you want) or a quiet place to study, feed you, and lead you in a devotion followed by games.
At 6:00, Wednesday LIVE ends, but we’d love for you to stay for the rest of the evening. Most of our youth eat supper in our Fellowship Hall. The meal is served until 6:15 and costs $4.50. Our youth program, Transformed, starts around 6:15 and lasts until 7:30. Join us!
